I’ll be damned if I don’t get four posts up in February. I’m getting lazy. I mean, I’ve always been lazy but this is a whole new level of lazy. My procrastination problem is starting to be an actual real problem. This last week, I’ve done absolutely nothing, if not the bare minimum. The house is…….I can’t even find the words. But I just can’t find it in me to get off my ass and do the things I need to do, including blog posts. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s the weather. Maybe it’s being homesick. Maybe it’s because the chicken crossed the road. I don’t know.
I make a lot of promises and when I make a promise, I never break it. Well, almost never. Unless you’re my kid. Then I break them like I break glasses. Which is all the time. Bad Mummy!
I promised like ten posts ago that I was going to post more Korean dishes. Ten posts later, here it is. It’s nothing fancy nor complicated. It’s really just another way of using kimchi.
Today is a proud day for me. I finally crossed something off my to-do list. In your face, procrastination!! About two months ago, my husband asked me for the photos I had taken of the kids with my phone. Photos dating back to February. Yikes! Today, I finally did it. I went through my photo library and sorted out which photos to pass to him, i.e. photos of the kids, and which he didn’t need, i.e. my food photos, selfies and the baby’s poop. Throughout the 2 hour-long process, I found myself repeating the same thought in my head over and over again, almost like a mantra.
“When did they get so big?? And how did I not notice it??”
They weren’t kidding when they say children grow up so fast. Blink and you’ll miss it. It didn’t seem like it was that long ago when we first brought Alana home from the hospital. Now she’s fighting me in the mornings about which dress she wants to wear and how many necklaces she needs to match it (she doesn’t believe in “less is more”).
